Marshmallow challenge.
Ko te Raapa 10 o te Mahuru tenei ra
The Marshmallow Challenge
It all started when Mrs.Dines my teacher said we all had to get into our Kidpreneur groups in my group was John, Johnny, Soana, Melayka and of cause me.What were we doing I thought “Each group has to build a tower in 20 minutes with the 20 spaghetti sticks, sticky tape and wool while holding a marshmallow at the top” Mrs Dines said. My friend John said we should try and make a tripod.
The time had started and we began to do John’s idea we were taping the spaghetti sticks together really well but we had to make sure it was able to stand. The tripod could stand “yes” we all said and there was still 13 minutes left “We should just leave it now” John said.
“I think we should make it bigger” Johnnie said so that was what we did we added more tapped sticks to the tripod, but then we tried to make the tripod stand again and it couldn’t stand by itself. One of the sticks was uneven and so that meant we had to try and fix it by breaking some of the sticks to make the them all even.
By trying to break the sticks 5 minutes had passed but we were finished and the tripod could stand by itself, Soana put the marshmallow back on the tripod and we left it alone. “5,4,3,2,1” We all shouted and are tripod was still standing after all of our noise.
It was fun making the tripod with my group even though we did have some mistakes at least we finished it off with a smile.

Punctuation
One day Mrs.Smith asked if we would look after her dog Rover I said to my brother if mum and dad see how neat it is to have a dog they might let us get one of our own Mrs.Smith dropped Rover off during the afternoon we spent hours playing with him. When it came to our bedtime we took Rover outside and tied him to the kennel he put his ear down and looked sad with his little puppy eyes steering at us.Can’t we let Rover sleep in our bed we both said.
This is my punctuation that I did yesterday for spelling.

St.Patricks day
St.Patrick’s day
plan:
Who:The school of St.patrick’s school.
What:St.patrick’s day where the school does some games or activities.
When:March 17th 2014.
Where:St.Patrick’s school Auckland New Zealand.
why:It was St.Patrick’s day.
It was a cool breezy day and everyone was rushing through every classroom trying to finish the activities for St.Patrick’s day.
It was the 17th of march 2014 where the children of St.Patrick’s school started walking to the church because it was St.Patrick’s day.Mass started with a very good introduction of our bishop St.Patrick and carried on with our father saying some things about St.Patrick’s day.
After Mass we all walked back down to school and it was morning tea time the sun was burning hot but that didn't stop the kids from running around. When the bell rang the whole school came together and we all got into groups. The first class we went to was room 4.We had to fish out letters and make new words.Next was room 5 we walked in and saw little rainbows with a cup at the end.Misses Richardson told us what we had to do all we did was cutting out a rainbow picture and then gluing it on to a cut out cardboard. Then we added cotton balls and a cup at the end.
It was then room 6 all we had to do was paint a cardboard shamrock I painted my with purple red yellow and blue. Then we went to my class room 8 where we made leprechaun bookmarks with glitter and art work.It was then off to room 1 it was fun in there because we got to play bowling it was boys vs girls the boys won but that didn't matter because it was all about having fun.The last class we went to was room 2 all we did was trace out a clover and then put in words that connect to St.Patrick’s day like faith hope and more inspiring words. After we finished the activities the teachers and our principal treated us to an ice-block and then they announced who won the activities and the winner was Tipperary's my team came 4th equal but I knew the whole day was fun for all of us.
The whole day was fun for my first 2 months at St.Patrick’s school and I can’t wait for what we are going to do next year.

Sophia gets bullied.
PLAN:
Who:Sophia,Isabella,Vinnie
What:Sophia keeps on getting bullied by Vinnie the school bully and Isabella talked to her so she can feel better.
When:Term 2 for two weeks.
Where:Sophia’s school.
Why: Vinnie thought Sophia was weird.
Sophia Roberts is a little girl who is very small for her age and she gets bullied because of. her size. Here is a story about a little girl making a BIG difference.
When Sophia first joined her new school in New Zealand, everyone was so welcoming but one boy wasn't. His name was Vinnie and he was known as the school bully. He targeted Sophia because she was born with dwarfism and Vinnie thought it was funny to make fun of how little she was that was.
Sophia was walking home and Vinnie caught up to her then started saying hey Lil girl,You look like a little ant. That made Sophia sad but Isabella the head girl saw what was going on and said,” Stop bullying Sophia!” after hearing this then Vinnie ran away.Isabella asked Sophia if she was OK Sophia said thank you.The next day Sophia got asked to come to the principals office when she got there Sophia got asked if she was being bullied by Vinnie Sophia said yes.
It was lunch time and Vinnie came up to Sophia and said I am sorry for calling you names I just thought that you looked funny.Sophia said thank you for saying sorry but you can’t do this any more because it is mean to people who live with my condition. Then Vinnie said I know I won’t do it ever again even it is only funny to me,Then they shook hands and went separate ways.Isabella came to eat lunch with Sophia and Sophia said thank you for sticking up for me it really helped me now Vinnie won’t bully me any more.
This story is all about people treating other people the way you want to be treated so don’t be mean to people and you could be nice instead of mean.
Feelings Recount.
Feelings.
Everybody around the world has different ways to express their feelings and emotions.
One of these feelings is called anger.Ways people express their feelings for this emotion include, saying bad words, hitting people or smashing things around them. These actions are all referred to as the body language. But when you say bad words it is called inappropriate.
When people show happiness they start jumping up and down or they have a big smile on their face and often also want to high five everyone. So you can see the difference between anger and happiness.
The signs of scariness are screaming in a loud voice.Unable to speak, you might even lock yourself up in a room if you are that scared.
But when you are sad the facial expressions are tears coming down your face rolling yourself up in a ball or not wanting to talk to anyone around you.
So now you can see how many people around the world can express their feelings in many different ways.
PMI chart of the Fencible Chart.
We have been learning about the Fencibles who came to live in Panmure along time ago.
Many of the Retired Soldiers were Irish Catholics. When they came they brought with them all the belongings they could and their also their families.
Recently I was fortunate enough to have the opportunity to visit the Fencible Stone Cottage in Panmure.
Following our visit I complete the PMI below, highlighting key aspects of that visit.
